Our client, a Global Digital Agency working with top names within the Technology, Government, Entertainment, Telecoms, FMCG, and Finance sectors, are seeking a Senior Front End Developer with Digital Agency experience to join their growing team to work 100% remotely. You will interpret designs and transform them into a polished rich cross-platform/device web experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React components. WordPress knowledge/experience is important since the development of Gutenberg, but to be clear you will not be expected to write back-end PHP code yourself. You will have the opportunity to lead complex projects for B2B Enterprise clients, being involved with client meetings on the development side, giving feedback to Junior Developers and ensuring everything is on track alongside the wider team. Any experience with Sketch/Design software is nice to have, not essential but any additional skills and attributes you can bring to the role you will have the chance to use here.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

• Interpret designs and transform them into a polished rich cross-platform/device web experience.
• Write modular and performant HTML, CSS, JavaScript as well as React components. (Ability to use modern JavaScript build tools like Webpack.)
• Ability to rapidly prototype interfaces to finalise an experience in the browser as well as build long term scalable, maintainable, and performant production code.
• Visualise how a static design will be coded, proactively flag challenging areas and offer alternatives, as well as identifying areas for greater code reuse.
• Ability to lead the front-end strategy for a project and make impactful decisions about the methodologies recommended to a client.

  Skills & Experience Required:
  

• Ideally 3-6 years+ experience within Front End Development.
• Solid experience working in a Digital Agency or similar environment
• Code-based portfolio. Link us to your GitHub account, upload a .zip, or both.
• Strong understanding of HTML and CSS, ability to write modern and performant JavaScript using latest technologies.
• Experience with the React JavaScript library.
• Experience using Git, and in task runners/bundlers like Webpack or Gulp.
• Understanding of ad implementations in a responsive environment.
• Experience with basic PHP, ideally in the context of WordPress themes.

  Nice to have but not essential:
  

• Experience with Sketch or Design Software.
• Experience with Gutenberg and building out custom blocks.
• Design experience or formal design education.
• Experience in mentoring and leading a team.
• Experience and expertise with third party integrations and client-side APIs.
