|Salary:||£35000 - £45000 per annum|
The agency on this one is a well established, internationally focused content agency with a range of b2b and b2c clients. They currently have around 70 people in their London office, out of ~220 people globally, with the usual teams of creative, editorial, production, client services and back office / ops. In terms of their outputs, they deliver a range of editorial, video content, social assets and a little bit of traditional print work for clients spanning professional services, finance, tech and (green) energy. While they are part of a well known network, they generally get left to their own devices by the holding group thanks to having an excellent management team and maintaining strong margins on their work.
As they are busy and growing, we are now looking to hire their first ever resource and traffic manager into the London office. While this is a standalone role, you will have a highly supportive team around you, and their culture ensures that nobody feels isolated or left behind. Indeed, you'll be working closely with every team in the agency so you'll rarely feel alone!
What You'll Be Doing
This is the first time this office has had a resource or traffic manager, so to an extent you will be able to shape the role around yourself - going through the usual process of understanding how the agency currently works, how process can support and streamline workflow, and then running the day to day resourcing for the agency. In terms of your team, you'll be living in the general "creative services" pod alongside the agency's account and project managers.
At the moment each team head is doing their own resourcing, which works for individual teams but does mean that agency-wide, projects could be a little smoother by having somebody tracking all of the work that runs through the agency. They don't currently use timesheets, but you'll be looking after 20-25 people on a weekly basis using Monday.com.
Like all creative agency roles, you'll probably end up getting involved in a little more than this though, so be prepared to roll your sleeves up!
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with the ability to embed themselves into an agency, understand the different team's unique needs and workflow, and then design a better way of working. Naturally this means that we need someone with strong communication skills, a serious head for organisation, and a refined tool kit to diagnose the various areas in the agency which could be run in a more effective manner.
A background in agency project, resource or traffic management is the most obvious place for this to come from, but we are open to people who have worked brand-side in a busy environment with multiple workstreams.
If you have set up a role from scratch before, or helped to develop and implement process across a range of teams that would be a big plus, as would knowledge of the Monday.com platform.
All the usual personality traits apply - we are after somebody who wants to roll their sleeves up and muck in with a tight knit, highly collaborative team. Again, strong communications skills are an absolute must.
