We are partnering with a purpose-driven mental health organisation, focused on providing support in the workplace.

They are looking for an exception Design Director (or Senior Designer for a step up) to tale the brand forward with first-class design. They are looking for someone strategic & hands-on who can develop brilliant ideas and bring them to life with impact, across a range of mediums.

This is a really exciting time in the brand's growth journey and this new role will play a pivotal part in evolving the brand and embedding a design-led culture at the company. This is a new role which you'll be able to shape and define alongside developing and growing a team.

Design currently sits within the Brand & Marketing team, and you'll work closely with the Head of Marketing and the rest of the team to develop compelling integrated marketing campaigns.

They work virtually most of the time, so ideally, you're comfortable and experienced in collaborating on creative projects remotely and keep an open line of communication.

What you'll do:

  • Work with the rest of the marketing team to conceptualise and execute compelling integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Co-own the development and roll-out of their new brand visual identity, working with partner agencies and internal teams to inspire and align output with the creative vision.
  • Develop and implement the design approaches, systems and processes necessary for a highly creative & rigorous design team.
  • Recruit, develop and motivate a team of creatives who produce brilliant work.
  • Ensure quality & consistency across external touchpoints, collaborating with the digital design teams and external agencies to establish & sign-off on the correct approach.
  • Take a human-centred design approach to producing impactful experiences &interactions.

What They're looking for:

  • A versatile design pro. They are looking for a brilliant graphic designer that can execute impactful campaigns across various mediums (editorial, web, social channels, OOH) and skills or experience in UX/UI, motion and video editing.
  • Someone who leads by doing. You're hands-on and will be happy to roll your sleeves up to produce first-class creative (particularly initially as you recruit and grow your team & partner agencies).
  • Someone with an interest in current affairs, trends & culture. Ideally, you're a fan of design-thinking and have mastered one or more design disciplines.
  • A conceptual thinker. You are considered in your approach and have experience developing clear, cohesive & compelling design identities and visual narratives. Ideally, you're a fan of design-thinking and have mastered one or more design disciplines. You take a keen interest in current affairs, trends & culture.
  • A mentor and design leader with an eye for talent and development. You enjoy building, nurturing & motivating your team.
  • Someone who believes that ego is the enemy. A real team player who can take feedback, is open to a collaborative creative approach and can hold & defend a creative vision or position whilst being open to feedback.
  • Knowledge of Adobe creative suite, and relevant design software.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in UX/UI & motion.
  • Experience in editorial and information design.
  • Interest in mental health, wellbeing and psychology.
